Robert Kehoe’s editorial skills stem directly from his first-hand knowledge of the craft of writing, and he consistently offers his clients the same attention to language, structure, and ideas that he brings to his own work. His comments are unfailingly insightful and encouraging, and he has a particular gift for teasing out the latent possibilities in a piece of writing. Any write would be lucky to work with him.

MEGHAN O'GIEBLYN, author Interior States

Kehoe is a writer’s editor: smart and sharp-eyed, rigorous, and kind, the sort of editor who will help make your prose more intelligent and stylish than you thought possible. Get ready to revise!

DAEGAN MILLER, author This Radical Land

Not only is he generous and brilliant as a person, Robert Kehoe is also a uniquely gifted writer, editor and teacher. A person who can trace the counters of an essay, story or poem and discover its fullest potential. As my editor at The Point Magazine, Robert dissected my piece with nuance and care and helped me discover my story’s most charismatic incarnation. He will be an enormous asset to his students and a tireless source of wisdom and encouragement.

BARRETT SWANSON, author Lost in Summerland

To work with Robert on an essay is to truly have a dialogue partner who will push and provoke you until your piece has reached its highest potential. I’ve collaborated with Robert for several years, first as a writer, and then as a co-editor at The Point, and have always been impressed with how deeply he believes in the editorial process. He understands that writing is not just fixing sentences; it goes to the heart of what it means to think. You will emerge from working with him not only a better writer, but also a broader and more critical thinker.

– JON BASKIN, author Ordinary Unhappiness - founding editor The Point Magazine
